Jacob Events

Unzicker Jacobs are typically shown at four or five shows each year. Our sole purpose for showing is to give exposure to Jacob sheep and to educate people about Jacob sheep. We do not believe judges should dictate what kind of Jacobs we raise. Bigger is not better. We do not believe in raising Jacob just to win in the showring. Like all Jacobs, "showring" Jacobs should fall within the breed standard.

We usually show at:

The Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival, (the first weekend in May)
The New Jersey State Fair, (first weekend in Aug)
The Hunterdon County 4-H and Agriculature Fair, Ringoes, NJ (often the last weekend in Aug)
Garden State Sheep and Wool Festival, Ringoes NJ, ( mid Sept)
The Harvest Festival, Salem Co, NJ (usually the third weekend in Sept)
